In addition to the 30 players already in camp in preparations for the maiden edition of the Aisha Buhari tournament penciled for next month in Nigeria, coach Gabriel Zabo Toze of the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon has named ten players based abroad expected to join the squad in the days ahead.
Bella Rose of Malabo Kings who starred in the CAF Champions League tie against Cameroonian side Louves Minproff returns to the Den alongside captain Aboudi Onguene of CSKA Moscow plus attacking mate, Atletico Madrid’s Nchout Njoya Ajara.
Defenders Ndzana of Dynamo Minsk and club mate Voulania Dabda Collette plus Napoli’s Marie Awona, Mayi Kith of Reims and recent mother Falone Meffomettou of Fleury 91.
Falone’s club colleague and midfielder Ngock Yango and France-based Mimboe complete the list of ten players.
Cameroon is in Pool B of the six Nations tournament alongside Ghana and South Africa while host Nigeria face Morocco and Mali.
Nigeria, Cameroon, Morocco, Ghana, South Africa, and Mali will battle for honours at the 9-day tournament that will see 10 matches in all played across Mobolaji Johnson Arena and Agege Stadium, with the opening match between Nigeria and Morocco on Monday, 13th September and the final on 21st September – both at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena.
